Dubai Fitness Challenge Kicks Off October 31 with Three Free Fitness Villages for Residents
The 10th Dubai Fitness Challenge will run from October 31 to November 29, 2026, offering residents and visitors more ways to stay active through golf and football simulators, new sports facilities and sunrise yoga sessions.
The month-long event will continue to promote its core goal of 30 minutes of physical activity a day for 30 days. This year’s expanded programme will allow participants to try a wider range of sports alongside walking, running and gym workouts.
Golf and Football Simulators at Kite Beach
The DP World 30x30 Fitness Village at Kite Beach will welcome visitors this year with new facilities, including golf and football simulators, a multi-hoop basketball zone and a cricket pitch.
The beachfront venue will once again be the largest free sports village among the three main hubs of the Dubai Fitness Challenge.
Visitors can take part in a wide range of activities, including boxing, mixed martial arts, yoga, Pilates, padel, basketball and family fitness programmes.
Three-Level Fitness Club at Zabeel Park
The Dubai Municipality 30x30 Fitness Village at Zabeel Park will feature a new three-level fitness club this year.
The club will offer facilities for boxing, mixed martial arts, high-intensity interval training, circuit training, yoga and Pilates, allowing participants to experience a range of fitness activities in one venue.
The village will also feature a children’s fitness zone and courts for cricket, padel and basketball.
Participants in the major Dubai Ride and Dubai Run events will also be able to collect their bibs and T-shirts from Zabeel Park Fitness Village ahead of the events.
Sunrise Yoga to Be Held at Dubai International Financial Centre
Another major change this year is the relocation of the Dubai Yoga event to a new venue.
Held at sunset in Zabeel Park last year, the event will take place on November 29 beneath the iconic Gate building at Dubai International Financial Centre.
Participants will gather before dawn for activities including sound relaxation, guided breathing exercises and a 30-minute sunrise yoga session.
The session will be followed by health and wellness activities, music, and food and beverage options for attendees.
Three Free Fitness Villages in Dubai
During the Dubai Fitness Challenge, three fitness villages offering free entry will operate at Kite Beach, Zabeel Park and Al Warqa Park.
The Al Warqa Park village will focus primarily on family activities, with facilities including a 2.8-kilometre running and cycling track, bicycle rentals, a dedicated women’s area, an obstacle course, and football, tennis, volleyball, basketball and padel courts.
Dates Announced for Four Flagship Dubai Fitness Challenge Events
The programme’s four major events will return this year.
November 1: Dubai Ride
The cycling event will feature a 4km family-friendly route in Downtown Dubai and a 12km route along Sheikh Zayed Road.
November 7 and 8: Dubai Stand Up Paddle
The event will take place at Hatta Dam, where participants can enjoy activities including stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking and yoga.
November 22: Dubai Run
Sheikh Zayed Road will host 5km and 10km routes for runners and walkers as part of Dubai Run.
November 29: Dubai Yoga
The sunrise yoga event will take place at Dubai International Financial Centre, bringing the 30-day fitness challenge to a close.
More than 16 million participants across previous editions
The Dubai Fitness Challenge was launched in 2017 at the initiative of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council.
More than 16 million participants have been recorded across the event’s nine editions.
Saeed Hareb, Secretary-General of the Dubai Sports Council, said the challenge had become part of Dubai’s identity, bringing together people of different ages and nationalities through physical activity.
