Dubai’s Burj Khalifa was illuminated in the colours of the Turkish flag tonight, Thursday, October 29, to mark the 103rd anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Türkiye.

During the spectacular display, the 828-metre Burj Khalifa turned red, with the Turkish flag’s white crescent and star projected onto its façade.

The Republic of Türkiye was proclaimed under the leadership of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk on October 29, 1923. This year marks the 103rd anniversary of the historic event.
