What’s new at Dubai’s Global Village this season? Sri Lanka pavilion and new roller coaster
Dubai Global Village opened its 31st season on Wednesday, October 14, featuring 29 pavilions showcasing more than 90 cultures. The season will run until May 2027. Admission costs AED 25 on weekdays and AED 30 on weekends, from Friday to Sunday, and public holidays.
Sri Lanka, which was part of the Bangladesh pavilion last season, has its own pavilion this year. Russia and Azerbaijan are featured in a joint pavilion, while the Syria and Kuwait pavilions have returned with refreshed designs.
In addition to a new entertainment programme, children will have their own special passports this year, allowing them to collect stamps at different pavilions, just like adults. A new roller coaster called Tokyo Rush, featuring sharp turns and a loop, is also set to open later in the season, although an opening date has yet to be announced.
Visitors this season can explore more than 3,500 retail outlets, 250 restaurants and food venues, including several new dining concepts, and around 40,000 events and performances, including stunt shows. Global Village is open from 4pm to midnight from Sunday to Wednesday, and until 1am from Thursday to Saturday and on public holidays.
