A 13-year-old Emirati boy tragically drowned off the coast of Ras Al Khaimah on Tuesday afternoon after saving his 7-year-old sister from the sea. The heartbreaking incident has plunged the community into mourning.

The teenager successfully rescued his younger sister from drowning. She, along with two of their cousins (approximately 8 and 9 years old), survived the incident.

Details of the Incident and Condition of the Survivors

The incident occurred at Flamingo Beach, located behind the Saudi Institute in Ras Al Khaimah.

Emergency services immediately transported the three surviving children to Saqr State Hospital to receive first aid and medical treatment. All of them were discharged from the hospital the following day in stable condition.

Dreamed of iPhone 17 as Reward for School Grades

According to the boy's father, he was very popular and well-loved among his peers and had recently achieved high grades in school. He proudly brought his school report home and requested an iPhone 17 as a reward for his excellent results.

Remembering his son's last days, the teenager's father said, "He was happy and proud of the results he had achieved."

Death Confirmed and Funeral Held

A medical source confirmed that the boy was brought to Saqr Hospital, but unfortunately, he had already passed away before arriving. The necessary legal and medical procedures were completed before his body was released to his family.

Funeral prayers were held on Wednesday at the Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Mosque, after which his body was buried in Al Salhiya Cemetery in Ras Al Khaimah. A large number of mourners attended the funeral to pay their respects and offer condolences to the grieving family.
