Dubai Police has announced a five-week competition aimed at raising public awareness of safe driving and reducing road accidents. At the end of the competition, five participants who answer all 10 questions will be selected through an electronic draw, with each receiving an Esaad card.

According to Khaleej Times, the competition is being organised through the Traffic Safety Platform in collaboration with Dubai Police’s General Department of Traffic and the Esaad Card Centre. It aims to encourage residents to learn more about road safety principles and adopt responsible driving practices.

The competition features 10 questions on common causes of road accidents, including speeding, failure to maintain a safe distance between vehicles and unsafe stopping on the roadside.

Esaad cards to be awarded to five winners

Dubai Police said the competition will run for five weeks, after which five eligible participants will be selected through an electronic draw.

Each winner will receive an Esaad card, offering access to discounts and exclusive benefits across 10 different sectors.

Brigadier Salah Mohammed Al Marzouqi, Director of the Esaad Card Centre, said the initiative reflects the centre’s commitment to supporting community programmes aimed at enhancing safety and improving quality of life.

Dubai Police highlights road accident prevention

Colonel Talal Abdullah Al Mansouri, Director of the Traffic Education Department at Dubai Police, stressed the importance of complying with traffic regulations. He said accident prevention begins with road users recognising dangerous behaviour and adhering to traffic laws.

The competition focuses on high-risk driving behaviour, helping participants understand the factors that contribute to road accidents and apply safe driving principles during their daily journeys.

How to enter the Dubai Police competition

Those interested can register for the competition through the Traffic Safety Platform.

In addition to providing access to the competition, the platform offers a range of educational content, including road safety videos, traffic guidance and awareness campaigns.

Participants must answer all 10 questions to qualify for the final draw.

After the five-week competition ends, five winners will be selected through an electronic draw, with each receiving an Esaad card.

The initiative forms part of Dubai Police’s efforts to raise public awareness of traffic safety, encourage drivers to follow regulations and reduce road accidents.
