The UAE’s National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said skies will be generally clear and partly cloudy at times on Saturday, September 26. Rising humidity overnight and on Sunday morning could lead to fog or mist forming in some areas.

According to the NCM forecast, weather conditions will remain generally stable, although fog or mist may reduce horizontal visibility in some coastal and inland areas.

The NCM issued a red alert for fog on Friday morning and urged residents to exercise caution while travelling. Drivers on the roads during the early morning hours of the weekend have also been advised to remain vigilant in areas affected by fog or mist and follow safety guidance for reduced visibility.

Light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds are forecast at speeds of 10 to 20 kilometres per hour, occasionally reaching 30 kilometres per hour.

The UAE’s highest temperature on Friday was 45.8°C, recorded at 3pm in Al Ghuwaifat, Al Dhafra Region.

On Saturday, temperatures are forecast to reach highs of 42°C in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. Lows will be 27°C in Dubai and Abu Dhabi and 26°C in Sharjah.

Seas will be calm, with no significant change in marine conditions expected.
