The UAE’s National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said rain is possible in some northern and eastern areas today, Thursday, November 5. A yellow weather alert has also been issued due to reduced visibility caused by fog.

According to the NCM forecast, skies across the UAE will generally be clear to partly cloudy. However, convective clouds are expected to form over northern and eastern areas from the afternoon, increasing the likelihood of rain.

The NCM has also issued a yellow alert for fog and reduced visibility in some southern and western areas. The alert remains in effect until 9am today.

Temperatures across the UAE are forecast to range between 22°C and 38°C. Minimum temperatures in Dubai and Abu Dhabi are expected to reach 24°C and 25°C respectively, indicating the country’s gradual transition towards winter.

Light to moderate winds are forecast to blow from the southeast to northeast at speeds of 10 to 25 kilometres per hour, occasionally reaching 35 kilometres per hour.

Sea conditions are also expected to be calm, with slight waves.
