The UAE’s National Centre of Meteorology said rain is possible in parts of the country today, Tuesday, October 20, as convective clouds form over eastern areas and extend into some inland and western areas by the afternoon.

Despite the possibility of rain, temperatures will remain high, reaching 40°C in some areas. Maximum temperatures are forecast to reach 38°C in Dubai and 37°C in Abu Dhabi.

According to the National Centre of Meteorology, humidity will increase in some coastal and inland areas from Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning, with a chance of fog or mist.

Winds will shift from southeasterly to northeasterly, with speeds generally ranging from 10 to 25 kilometres per hour. Winds may strengthen in some areas as clouds develop, reaching up to 60 kilometres per hour in mountainous regions. These conditions could stir up dust.

The sea is also forecast to be calm, with low waves.
